Vámospércs

(Hajdú-Bihar County)

Shield erect and party per pale, its base is curved to a point. Base vert, chief and fess are argent. In field vert a full-figured Haiduk man is standing, habited gules and booted or. In his dexter hand he is holding a Hungarian scimitar, in his sinister hand a flag azure and argent. On his head the haiduks’ typical hat, decorated with birds’ feather.

It was in 1992 that the town of Vámospércs celebrated the 700th anniversary of its existence.
