The short description of the Village of Örményes:
During the last century the Village of Örményes formed from servants' quarters built around the castles of the three manors of Bíró, Kepich and Gláser. It was first mentioned as Örményes-puszta belonging to Fegyvernek.
The castles are still in existence, although they are badly in need of restoration.
In 1950 the village became an independent administrative unit so it celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2000.
The settlement consists of two parts: Újfalu, built since the 1980s and Ófalu, where the public institutions can be found.
The renovated Bíró-castle, where conferences can be held, is one of the most beautiful sights of the village and the area.
The settlement is an agricultural area in the first place. Cultivation of plants and animal husbandry are the main sources of living, although it is continually decreasing. In 2003 a gasfield was found near the village. The inhabitants of Örményes are hospitable, the village is suitable for the location of industry due to its location and the local conditions.
