Old

(The County of Baranya)

The Coat-of-Arms is a shield with a point at its bottom, up to its lower third it is gules. Within it centred on swords with hilt or and blade argent a vertical wheatear or. In the lower third wavy field azure a bream (Abramis brama) argent can be seen.

The tincture gules and the swords recall the turbulent historical periods, which were often stained with blood and fire. The wheatear is the symbol of hard work and diligence, in other words the symbol of peaceful life. The fish and the tincture azure represent the river Dráva, which is the most significant river in the lives of the inhabitants.
