The coat of arms of the town: Shield azure-vert-argent, with a curved base. Chief azure, in it a rider argent on a horse holding a horn, with contour sable. Fess vert with wavy bends, base argent curved to a point.

Symbolism of the coat of arms: Azure of the chief represents the sky, the rider with the horn represent the changing place of the post carts, which had an important role in the village’s history. The wavy bend vert of the fess represents the hills and mountains surrounding Nyergesújfalu, and the base azure refers to the Danube.
