Ivándárda

(Baranya County)

The coat of arms of the village of Ivándárda can be described as follows:

Triangular shield erect and or with a tent-shaped motif in it, vert. In field vert a ploughshare and a coulter are borne encouped, both or, with their edges turning outward. In the rear three ears of corn are borne encouped, with their stalks bound together. In field or the main charge is the symbol of the heart of Jesus Christ: the heart motif is enframed by a wreath of thorns and three flames are issuing from it with a Latin cross between them. Below the shield a swallow-tailed tripartite ribbon or is borne encouped with the settlement’s name IVÁNDÁRDA inscribed in it in capital letters sable. Before and after the settlement’s name an ornamental dot.
