Isztimér

(Fejér County)

The heraldic description of the settlement's coat-of-arms is as follows:

Shield erect, its base is rounded, azure. From base an irregular-shaped mound is issuing and it is topped by the charge of a stylised tree, vert. Tree trunk and branches are or. Branches are adorned with trefoiled leaves vert. A stylised ploughshare argent is borne on the dexter and a stylised coulter argent on the sinister side.

The interpretation of the settlement's coat-of-arms is as follows:

The coat-of-arms of Isztimér goes back to the original wax seal print of the settlement. The irregular-shaped mound as charge symbolises the nearby Bakony Hills. The tree is either an oak tree, or a fruit tree. The stylised ploughshare and coulter are the symbols of agriculture, which has always played an important role in Isztimér's life.
