Dabronc

The achievement of the Town of Dabronc consists of an upright, corner based circular escutcheon azure, in base a wary bar argent, in chief a depiction of the Virgin Mary as a "woman clothed in the sun", on bar a setting globe or encircled by a snake, of the second, on which she stands, with her hands clasped together in prayer, facing forward, her figure, of the second, upon her head a crown or, below her feet a crescent moon, of the second. Encircling her head a halo of twelve stars, of the third, behind her a shinning sun, of the third. The helmet, of the second, with straps, facing forward decorated, of the third, with lining gules, with a heraldic crown, of the third, decorated, of the fourth and the first. From either side of the crown two ears of wheat, of the third, extending upward, between them two scythe blades, of the second, crossing each other diagonally, in front of which, centered, an apostolic patriarchal cross, of the third, rising. On either side, mantling, of the first and third.
Below the escutcheon, unanchored, on a three-part curved scroll, of the third, the inscription DABRONC in capital letters sable. Before and after he name of the town, a circular ornament on either side.
On the achievement, the town's patron saint, the Annuncial of the Blessed Virgin is depicted according to Church iconographic traditions. Faith is the most powerful force sustaining a community; therefore, the use of its symbols is a great tradition. The faith of inhabitants is also recalled by the apostolic patriarchal cross. The ears of wheat and the scythe blades symbolize their agricultural activity.
