Bodajk

The escutcheon of Bodajk has got a pointed bottom, a blue stripe in a silver shield, having a two-coloured cross with a blue sole. The blue stripe in the white (heraldigryly silver) field refers to the route of the national blue tour, which crosses the village. At the same time it symbolises the two brooks: Gaja and Móri-brook at the boundary of the village. Besides it can berelated to a nice tradition: King Stephen I. Used to go from Fehervar to the Bodajk shrine by boat.

The other element of the escutheon, the cross marks exactly this pilgrimage, which is well-known allover the country and during the centuries it interwove with the name of the village. Nowadays it mast begun to regain its deserved place, thatong, which once it had inthelife of the village.
